Val Jordan


Val launched her thirty-year career in the insurance industry as Head of Marketing and Advertising with two insurance carriers. In 1990, she established Jordan & Jordan Associates, a financial services management consulting firm specializing in designing, developing, delivering, and implementing full service insurance programs to the financial institution marketplace.

From Chase Manhattan to one-branch community banks, Jordan & Jordan has been instrumental in the establishment of joint–venture, third–party, and “de novo” bank agency arrangements. J&J’s programs focus on the fulfillment of customer needs utilizing life, annuities, property/casualty, and specialty products. They incorporate both face–to–face and non–rep methods including Internet, call-centers, direct response, ATM’s, and kiosks.

Prior to rejoining her firm in 2007, Val served as SVP and Director of Operations for The South Financial Wealth Management Group. There, she oversaw eight operating areas – Trust, Private Banking, Brokerage, a title company, a 40l(k) company, a financial planning firm, and three full service property/casualty agencies.

Over the course of her career in the insurance industry, Val developed and deployed many of the communication and marketing solutions that are incorporated into the AO model. She has been published in Broker World, Financial Planning Magazine, Life Insurance Selling, National Underwriter, Best Review, and Bank Insurance Marketing. She is frequently quoted in American Banker and has formally presented at numerous conventions including LCA, IAFP, ABI, and FIIA (BISA).
